Jack, a young passionate New Yorker and devoted matcha enthusiast, fell in love with Barcelona and decided to launch his Matcha brand and tea house here. He approached us to bring his vision to life — from logo and packaging to photoshoot concepts, web design, and moodboards for the physical space.
The goal was to capture the fusion of American and Japanese influences at the heart of the product and translate it into a vibrant visual identity. We aimed for a look that reflects both its Japanese roots and the fresh, international energy of a modern “healthy energy drink.” Bold colors, modernized Japanese-inspired details, and approachable, upbeat copy define the brand’s tone and character.

STATIONARY
// LOGO DEVELOPMENT
// The scope of the branding project was extensive:
beyond stationery and web design, we were also asked to develop packaging,
social media (in collaboration with our friends at Threeten),
a food market stand, merchandise, crockery, and interior design.
// Website
We designed the website, which served both as an online shop for Matchajack’s powders and merchandise, and as an information hub for the Tea House — where the blends are prepared and served with care. The site includes features such as subscriptions, pre-orders for in-store pickup or delivery, and an events calendar showcasing themed Japanese nights hosted at the Tea House.
