Sergi Boal is a spanish singer /songwriter trained in classical guitar. With a long list of musical collaborations, he is mixing folk, pop, indie, classical and film music. He wanted a place where all his different info that appear online come together in one place that represents him.
Apart from the web and simple logo, we did a few of his LP-Artwork – which is always great fun.
LP Cover Illustrations
CD/ LP covers are always great fun because there is room to play.
For BOAL -since his collaborations and styles are so varied- I wanted to create a few repeating graphic key elements in all his artwork to make his music visually at once recognizable. I chose the circle simply for being the most perfect shape there is, in combination with two slanted, bold lines that interrupt or underline. Those lines could also be repeated as a “stand-alone” visual element of the logo.
His web is kept to moody monochromatic hues of blues and whites to give his open & varied collaborations and resulting covers a solid, visually recognizable base.
